Midwife consulting is not a prenatal examination and cannot provide information about the progress of the pregnancy or your baby.
Midwife consultation – because every question matters
As part of the new Parent-Child Pass, you can take advantage of two free midwifery consultations between pregnancy weeks 13+0 and 19+6 and between pregnancy weeks 23+0 and 33+6. Topics such as the choice of birth location, nutrition and exercise during pregnancy, as well as information on health-promoting and preventive behavior can be discussed.
The costs for the midwife consultation are reimbursed or even covered directly by all Austrian health insurance funds. Consultations with a midwife are an additional service alongside the existing Parent-Child-Pass examinations and do not provide information on the progress of the pregnancy or the current state of health of the baby.
